ADVAIR DISKUS 250/50 helps to open up your airways and is clinically proven to improve lung function.
You may experience an improvement in lung function as early as the first day of treatment. Maximum results may take several weeks. It's important to take your ADVAIR DISKUS 250/50 twice a day, every day, as directed by your doctor. Remember, ADVAIR DISKUS 250/50 does not replace fast-acting inhalers for acute symptoms. Talk to your doctor about your response to ADVAIR DISKUS 250/50.
The most common side effects observed with ADVAIR DISKUS were headache, oral thrush, musculoskeletal pain, throat irritation, lower viral respiratory tract infection, and hoarseness. Some people may experience increased blood pressure and heart rate, or changes in heart rhythm. The use of inhaled corticosteroids, like the one in ADVAIR DISKUS 250/50, may increase your risk of developing bone loss (osteoporosis). Long-term use may also increase the risk of eye problems like cataracts or glaucoma.
Patients with COPD have a higher chance of getting pneumonia. ADVAIR DISKUS may increase the chance of getting pneumonia. Call your healthcare provider if you notice any of the following symptoms: increase in sputum production, change in sputum color, fever, chills, increased cough, increased breathing problems.
You only need to take one inhalation of ADVAIR DISKUS 250/50 twice a day, every day. So there’s no need to carry it with you. However, you should keep your fast-acting inhaler with you at all times for sudden shortness of breath.
ADVAIR DISKUS 250/50 does not replace your rescue inhaler. Always carry your rescue inhaler with you for sudden symptoms of shortness of breath. ADVAIR DISKUS 250/50 does not replace fast-acting inhalers for sudden symptoms.
