Tips to Reduce COPD Exacerbations
If you've already had an exacerbation, it is important to help reduce the number of COPD exacerbations. Here are some steps you can take to help:
Avoid people who are sick or have a cold or other respiratory tract infection. If you catch an illness like this, it can trigger an exacerbation.
Avoid other triggers such as smoke, pollen, and chemical fumes.
Make sure you get a flu shot every fall. And ask your healthcare provider whether you need a pneumonia vaccine.
Talk to a healthcare provider about how you can help reduce the number of your COPD exacerbations.
Ask your doctor if ADVAIR DISKUS is right for you.
