Important Information about ADVAIR DISKUS
Prescription ADVAIR won't replace fast-acting inhalers for sudden symptoms and should not be taken more than twice a day. ADVAIR is for people who still have symptoms on another asthma controller, or who need two controllers. ADVAIR contains salmeterol. In patients with asthma, medicines like salmeterol may increase the chance of asthma-related death. So ADVAIR is not for people whose asthma is well controlled on another controller medicine.

Talk to your doctor about the risks and benefits of treating your asthma with ADVAIR. Do not use ADVAIR with long-acting beta2-agonists for any reason. If you are taking ADVAIR, see your doctor if your asthma does not improve or gets worse. Tell your doctor if you have a heart condition or high blood pressure. Some people may experience increased blood pressure, heart rate, or changes in heart rhythm. ADVAIR is for patients 4 years and older. For patients 4 to 11 years old, ADVAIR 100/50 is for those who have asthma symptoms while on an inhaled corticosteroid.

Important Information about FLOVENT HFA:
Prescription FLOVENT HFA Inhalation Aerosol is for patients with asthma 4 years of age and older.

FLOVENT HFA is also for patients who are taking oral steroids, like prednisone, for asthma. Many of these patients may be able to reduce or eliminate their use of oral steroids over time. FLOVENT HFA does not replace fast-acting (rescue) inhalers for sudden symptoms. The use of FLOVENT HFA in children 4 to 11 years old is based in part on results of studies in patients 12 years and older and other FLOVENT products.

Important Information about VENTOLIN HFA:
Prescription VENTOLIN HFA is indicated for the prevention and relief of bronchospasm in patients 4 years of age and older with reversible obstructive airway disease.

If you find that your symptoms become significantly worse when you use VENTOLIN, contact your doctor immediately because this reaction can be life threatening. When this worsening occurs, it is frequently with the first use of a new inhaler. Tell your doctor if you have a heart, blood, or seizure disorder, high blood pressure, diabetes, or an overactive thyroid. Some medicines can interfere with how well asthma medications work. Tell your doctor about all medicines you are taking, especially heart medicines and drugs that treat depression. In clinical trials, the most common side effects with VENTOLIN were throat irritation, viral respiratory infections, upper respiratory swelling, cough, and muscle pain. The side effect profile in children was generally similar to that of adults.
