Fortunately, there are many options. If your child is taking an inhaled corticosteroid and is still experiencing symptoms, ask your child's healthcare provider if ADVAIR DISKUS might be right for your child. Results may vary.

ADVAIR DISKUS is for the treatment of asthma in patients 4 years and older. ADVAIR DISKUS is available by prescription only.

ADVAIR DISKUS should be used only if your child’s healthcare provider decides that his or her asthma is not well controlled with a long-term asthma control medicine, such as an inhaled corticosteroid.

ADVAIR DISKUS is not for, and should not be used to treat, sudden, severe symptoms of asthma. ADVAIR DISKUS won’t replace a rescue inhaler.

When your child’s asthma is well controlled, your child’s healthcare provider may tell your child to stop taking ADVAIR DISKUS. The healthcare provider will decide if your child can stop ADVAIR DISKUS without loss of asthma control. He or she may prescribe a different asthma control medicine, such as an inhaled corticosteroid, for your child.

ADVAIR DISKUS contains two medicines: an anti-inflammatory and a long-acting beta-agonist (LABA). Children and adolescents with asthma who take LABA medicines may have an increased risk of hospitalization for asthma problems.

ADVAIR DISKUS can cause serious side effects, including slowed growth in children. Ask your child’s healthcare provider to check your child’s growth often.

ADVAIR DISKUS 100/50 is for children ages 4 to 11 who still have symptoms even though they are taking an inhaled corticosteroid. The use of ADVAIR DISKUS 100/50 in children 4 to 11 years old is based in part on results of a study in patients 12 years and older and safety data in patients 4 to 11 years old.
